ABOUT UNCOMMON OBJECTS
Founded nearly 18 years ago in Austin, TX, Uncommon Objects is the brainchild of found objects artist and uber-collector Steve Wiman. Featuring a diverse and quirky collection of antiques and oddities from more than 20 dealers, Uncommon Objects houses everything from Victorian jewelry to early 1900's Americana to mid-century furniture and nearly everything in-between. Located at 1512 South Congress, our shop has been described as "your uncle's attic on steroids," "a vintage junkie's dream come true," and not uncommonly, "my favorite place on Earth."
Since we're an antiques shop, new technology has never been our forte, but in order to keep our customers up to date, we're gonna try to post new and noteworthy items on a weekly basis. We literally have thousands of items in the store (possibly even millions), and our price point ranges from $.25 to several thousand dollars. It would be impossible to post all of the smaller items, so we're gonna stick with the larger ones for the most part. We hope you enjoy.
Give us a call at 512.442.4000 if you're interested in purchasing an item. Just know that our inventory turns over quickly, so act fast if you see something. It may not be there long.
Also, while we will ship, we charge a $10 handling fee and warn customers that large and heavy items can be expensive to mail - sometimes more than the item itself. We let the UPS Store do their thing and charge the customer accordingly. Just putting it all out there.
